AYNA x KHILTI PARI
2021
We collaborated with AYNA to provide therapy sessions for 15 girls of age 19-21, through a psychologist. The subjects included marriage, Covid-19, stress, and self-confidence. After a common session, they had private sessions where they could open up about their issues.
International Women's Day
Toonga, Jaipur | 8th March 2021
Over 155 women came together to celebrate International Women's Day. We encouraged them to share their problems and dreams with one another. Speaking about why they are undermined in society lead to them discussing what can do to be heard. Older women reassured girls to pursue their dreams no matter what the consequences. Everyone danced and sang together and did rangoli, a form of Indian art, to celebrate each other. Our goal on this day was to make the women in these villages feel and understand their worth.
Sweater Drive
Gadh & Danau | December 2021
Rajasthan went through the coldest winter in 2021. A lot of people in Toonga did not have appropriate clothing to bear the cold and asked for help. We did a sweater drive in Belgium and asked people to donate clean, warm clothing. We donated them to the most needy 35 girls in various villages including Gadh and Danau. We will be donating another set of clothing in the next month.
Diwali Distribution
Toonga, Jaipur | November 2020
We donated boxes essentials to over 30 families to help them during diwali. The boxes included winter shawls, sweets, two weeks worth of ration (rice, lentils, spices, sugar), and materials for a diwali puja.
Covid-19 Relief Program

Through Koyou, an all women's clothing factory, we got reusable cloth masks made and distributed them in over 20 villages around Toonga. We donated over 2000 sanitisers and masks, spread flyers and posters about hygiene during the pandemic.

Optical Project

We learned that a lot of girls have difficulty reading at home as well as in class. We got their eyes checked by an optician and donated glasses if required.
